Dove’s
Nest
In
October 1989, the Dove's Nest Child Development
Center, originally developed as a preschool
ministry of the church, was opened to the
public. In order to maintain fiscal prudence,
in 2001 the operation of the Dove's Nest
was contractually placed in the hands of
the very competent Escondido Community Child
Development Center staff. Though no longer
administered by the church, the philosophy
remains the same: offer the highest quality
child care and enrichment programs in a
loving, nurturing environment.
ECCDC provides "Early
care, early intervention, early childhood
education and essential nutrition to children
from low-income working families that qualify
based on need and income eligibility. Families
are encouraged to apply when they know they
will have a need for childcare, in some
cases, during the prenatal stage, as ECCDC
has an active wait list. ECCDC receives
funding from the California Department of
Education, Child Development Division and
has served families in the Escondido and
North County Inland areas for the past 25
years."
