Our Children's Ministry provides numerous learning experiences for children from birth through sixth grade. Our goal is for children to be in an atmosphere of fun, love, and acceptance where they can learn about Jesus and His love. It is our desire to see children come to know Him as their Savior and to grow in their commitment to Him. Every class and activity is staffed with dedicated servants and parents who are dedication to the spiritual growth of our children. We are committed to a partnership with the family as we seek to assist parents in teaching their children spiritual truths.
Christian Education Programs
 A quality Christian Education program is valued very highly in our faith community. The CE program here at First Congregational Church of Escondido extends to the
entire church family providing opportunities to explore and enhance our
understanding of our faith, our history, and our relationships with each other and with God through His Son Jesus. The short children's message is an important part of Sunday worship, after which the children go to church school or child care with the weekly experience of being valued and supported by the attention of the entire church.
The goal of our CE program is that every adult, youth, and child in the church family will be able to retell the story of our Christian heritage that begins with the Bible and continues to the present. The focus and responsibility of the Director of Christian Education and the Board of Christian Education is to equip and enable persons, whether as individuals or families, to make the faith and heritage of our Christian community their own in order to continue to grow as Christians.

Confirmation Class
The decision to confirm ones baptismal vows and to become a member of First Congregational Church of Escondido is best made after careful study, reflection
 and consideration and prayer. The purpose of the Confirmation Class at First Congregational Church is to help familiarize students over the age of thirteen with the basic tenets of the Christian faith as well as with the role of a responsible member of the faith community.
Students will be meeting from September to May and will be focusing on four major areas:
- The Bible
- Church History
- Faith and Spirituality
- Mission
